Not only with romantic roles, but actor Vivek Oberoi has impressed us with his villainous acts also. While filmmaker Rakesh Roshan’s sci-fi film ‘Krrish 3’ (2013) helped the male lead, Hrithik Roshan, receive many awards and accolades, Vivek also won raves from various corners for his villainous act. After playing the main villain in ‘Krrish 3’, the actor surprised his fans again when he appeared as the antagonist opposite Southern superstar Ajith Kumar in the action-packed Tamil thriller ‘Vivegam’ (2017). The latest we hear that the actor has given his nod to star in another South Indian film wherein he will play an antagonist all over again.
According to reports, Vivek Oberoi has joined hands with popular South Indian star Ram Charan for Boyapati Srinivas’s forthcoming Telugu action drama. Though the film has not locked any title for itself, sources inform that the ‘Saathiya’ (2002) actor will be seen in a prominent role with shades of grey.
A well-placed source reveals, “Boyapati Srinu believes that Vivek with his presence will make the character look ruthless and menacing. He’s crucial to the plot and the director believes Vivek, who has impressed with his performances in films like ‘Company’ (2002), ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’ (2007) and ‘Rakht Charitra’ (2010) in the past, will do complete justice to the role which is why he has been signed for a sizeable sum.”
The news has been confirmed by the official spokesperson of Vivek Oberoi.
