Buzz has it that Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor Khan is all set to sign her next film on the dotted lines. She is waiting for the final draft of the script to get ready and have the last narration before going ahead with the project. To be produced by eminent Hindi filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, the film will be the remake of Marathi film, ‘Aapla Manus’ which hit the screens on February 9.
Kareena has been away from the arclight for quite a long time now. She was last seen in Abhishek Chaubey’s ‘Udata Punjab’ which released in 2016. Right after the release of the film, she took a break from movies to give birth to her son, Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi.
Though Kareena returned to work a couple of months back to shoot for her next film, ‘Veerey Di Wedding’, she has reportedly signed no other film afterwards. But now, it is being reported that she might sign her next movie as she had a few meetings with filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker for the Hindi remake of ‘Aapla Manus’.
Directed by Satish Rajwade and produced by Ajay Devgn, ‘Aapla Manus’ has been received extremely well by the audience. The film tells the story of a dysfunctional family.
Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s ‘Veere Di Wedding’ is scheduled to release on 1st June. Directed by Shahshaka Ghosh, the film also features Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania in principal roles. The film is being produced by Sonam Kapoor’s sister, Rhea Kapoor.
