Acclaimed Hindi filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj, who was all set to roll his next from the first week of March, has delayed his film by a couple of months. He took to his social media account to share the reason behind this sudden move.
“Pushing back film by a few months, @irrfank down with jaundice and @deepikapadukone with resurfaced back issue caused during ‘Padmaavat’. While prepping, was transported to ‘Maqbool’ days. Stunning look tests, can’t wait to start the shoot. Sending pyaar & duaaen to my Ustara and Afshan.”
Earlier, it was being reported that the film was based on the life of late mafia queen of Mumbai, Sapna Didi. Some media outlets also reported that the movie will be called ‘Rani’. However, Bhardwaj rubbished all such reports earlier this week, tweeting, “So amusing to find out that everyone except me knows the title of my upcoming film! This is absolutely false news, the movie is not titled Rani and it is not based on Sapna Didi’s life.”
So now, it brings us back to the same question that what Vishal Bhardwaj’s forthcoming film is all about. Is it really about Sapna Didi? Or it is based on some completely fictional character? I think we will have to wait until the director himself reveals some beans on the subject of his film.
