On one hand, it’s being reported that newcomer Sara Ali Khan is not allowed to sign her second film until her debut movie ‘Kedarnath’ hits the screen later this year. On the other hand, her name is being linked with every second big project being discussed in Bollywood. The latest film Sara’s name has been associated with is ‘Hindi Medium 2’, a sequel to Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar’s blockbuster hit ‘Hindi Medium’, which released last year.
Grapevine has it that the newbie might join the cast of the much-awaited sequel. If all goes well, she will play the role of Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar’s grown up daughter Pia. Though her name has not been announced officially, sources reveal that she is almost finalized for the movie. “Sara is one of the top contenders to play the daughter,” says a source.
When producer Dinesh Vijan, who is co-producing the film with Bhushan Kumar, was asked about the casting of the film, he said, “I have just finished the script and I am going to get into the casting now.”
Produced by Maddock Films and T-Series, ‘Hindi Medium’ was one of the most successful films of 2017. The movie won a lot of raves for the lead actor Irrfan Khan. At the recently concluded Filmfare Awards, Irrfan even took home the Best Actor trophy. ‘Hindi Medium’ grabbed the Best Film Award at the glitzy event.
With ‘Hindi Medium 2’, the makers are expecting to repeat the same success at the box office.
