It seems that after the runaway success of the controversial film ‘Padmaavat’ (2018), every top producer of Bollywood wants to sign the hit pair of Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in their films. Grapevine has it that Bollywood big shots Salman Khan and Karan Johar are also in the queue.
According to latest reports, Salman Khan and Karan Johar are joining hands for a film which will be jointly made under their respective production houses – Salman Khan Films and Dharma Productions. Reports further add that both want to cast Ranveer and Deepika in their next collaboration.
A picture of Ranveer and Deepika visiting Karan Johar’s office has fuelled the speculations further. Other reports suggest that not only Ranveer and Deepika, Salman Khan was also spotted at Dharma Productions at the same time.
Well, if Ranveer and Deepika agree to come onboard for the untitled project, another blockbuster is guaranteed at the box office. If the project materializes, it will be their fourth venture together after ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’ (2013), ‘Bajirao Mastani’ (2015) and ‘Padmaavat’.
Salman Khan and Karan Johar had last year announced their first collaboration – a film based on the famous Battle Of Saragarhi – with Akshay Kumar. However, when Khan came to know that his close friend Ajay Devgn was also planning to make a film on the same subject, the former backed out and Karan had to back the film all alone. Recently, KJo announced the title and the female lead of his movie. Titled ‘Kesari’, the film sees Parineeti Chopra alongside Akshay Kumar. It is releasing on Holi, 2019.
