Soon after filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala announced the second installment of his blockbuster film ‘Kick’, all Salman Khan fans were excited to know that their favourite superstar is coming back to reprise his devil avatar once again. Starring Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead roles, ‘Kick’ was one of the highest grossing films of 2014. While imagining its sequel ‘Kick 2’ without Khan is next to impossible, we hear that Miss Fernandez will not be part of the sequel.
According to sources, the makers don’t want to repeat Jacqueline in the sequel and are looking for a new actress opposite Salman. But before you jump to any conclusion, let us make this very clear that there is no tension brewing up between the actress and the makers.
Jacqueline cannot be a part of the sequel because it will have a completely different premise. The story demands a new face. Moreover, if you have seen ‘Kick’, you know that Jacqueline’s role ended in the first part and hence the makers are looking for a new actress.
“Jacqueline Fernandez will not be a part of Kick 2, however, this is not because of any issue between anyone, but because the story is completely different. Jacqueline’s track ended in Kick. In fact, Kick 2 has a completely new plot and character, hence Sajid Nadiadwala and his team decided to cast a new leading lady. They’ve shortlisted a few names and should make an announcement soon, a source reveals to a popular daily.
Well, if you were looking forward to seeing the terrific combo of Salman and Jacqueline in ‘Kick 2, you don’t need to worry as the duo is already working in the Remo D’Souza directed film ‘Race 3’, which is going to be equally thrilling and entertaining.
