Salman Khan to not work with Sooraj Barjatya next due to his busy schedule?

One of the most successful director-actor duos of Indian cinema, Sooraj Barjatya and Salman Khan, might not work together in an upcoming film which is being produced by Rajshri Productions.

After delivering some of the biggest blockbusters of Hindi cinema, such as ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ (1989), ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’ (1994), ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ (1999), Sooraj and Salman last collaborated on ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ (2015). Also starring Sonam Kapoor, the film focused on sibling rivalry and was a massive blockbuster at the cash counter. PRDP racked up over Rs. 400 crores worldwide.

Soon after the release of ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’, rumours mill suggested that the duo would come together again for a film. However, Salman got busy with some other projects and reports about a possible reunion turned out to be mare speculations.

But if latest reports are anything to go by, Sooraj is currently working on his next film which revolves around relationships of the main protagonists. The storyline of the movie is in perfect sync with previous films of Rajshri Productions.

Since Salman Khan was busy with his other commitments, Barjatya chose a script that requires four faces instead of stars. Since the director did not want to direct a film without having his favourite Salman Khan in it, he has reportedly passed the directorial baton onto his associate.

“Sooraj liked a story about four protagonists and the relationships that they share. Hence, he wants to go ahead with the film soon. But he has asked one of his associates to helm the project,” reveals a source to a leading daily.

The yet-to-be-titled project is expected to be officially announced soon.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan is currently busy with the shooting of his forthcoming film ‘Race 3’. After wrapping up the suspense thriller by Remo D’Souza, he will start shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar’s next ‘Bharat’.
