Even at the age of 75, Amitabh Bachchan is in no mood to slow down. The senior actor, who has spent almost four decades working in movies, is still one of the busiest actors in Bollywood. The legendary actor was last seen in Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Sarkar 3’ (2017). He is currently shooting for his forthcoming film ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’. Directed by Vijaya Krishna Acharya, the movie is being bankrolled by Yash Raj Films and also stars Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in principle roles. Besides ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’, Big B has several other projects on his platter, ‘Jhund’ being one of them.
‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ is being shot at a brisk pace and is expected to wrap up by mid-February. Big B has no plans to take rest after the film completes its shoot. He is, in fact, planning to start shooting for his next film ‘Jhund’ right after wrapping up ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’.
Senior Bachchan on Wednesday wrote on his blog that the schedule for ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ will last till mid-February, after which he would begin shooting for his next ‘Jhund’, which is being helmed by acclaimed Marathi filmmaker,Nagraj Manjule.
“Most of the day is spent in getting the spine and shoulder to be somewhat functional so that when work starts tomorrow and it starts at night till morning on ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’. There is some mobility for me to be able to perform,” the actor wrote, adding, “So, this schedule lasts till mid-February and then on to the next film called ‘Jhund’ … in Hindi, which for those language challenged, means a bunch of people.”
Divulging some more details about the film, the thespian wrote, “The people here are a bunch of slum kids who meet the guy who takes them from a life of misdeeds to one of responsible nature and character. A biography in a sense. It is the life of a living human who actually did this and it’s in Pune from. Yeah, as I said, mid-February.”
Besides ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ and ‘Jhund’, Big B will also be seen in Umesh Shukla’s ‘102 Not Out’. He plays veteran actor Rishi Kapoor’s son in the movie.
